Information

Delivery:

Most of our timber buildings can be delivered in 4 to 6 weeks.

As soon as your timber building has been manufactured (and if applicable, the joinery items have been painted and glazed), we will email you to arrange delivery or collection.

If you are collecting, please ensure that your vehicle (and trailer if applicable) are suitable.

If we are delivering, please ensure that you or a representative are available to accept delivery of your products and to help the driver unload your goods. Unloading takes two people as the panels are too large for one person. Please ensure that the person helping with the unloading is capable of carrying reasonably heavy objects.

Customers must advise us if access is unsuitable for a small lorry.

Please call us on 01544 260727 if you have any questions relating to delivery of products.

Assembly:

We manufacture and assemble your timber building in our workshop. Each building is made in sections/panels which are then disassembled and packed.

We offer site assembly within an hour drive of our workshop. Two of our skilled men will assemble your building and leave it ready to use.

For customers wishing to assemble their own timber building, two physically fit people are required. All fixings are included along with an assembly guide.

Base Requirements:

Radnor Timber Buildings can be located on most flat, level surfaces (concrete base, patio slabs, grass and gravelled areas). We can prepare a working drawing if you wish to construct a new concrete base. We can manufacture timber sub-bases for grass and gravel areas.

Please call us on 01544 260727 if you have any questions regarding your proposed base.

Notes About Timber Buildings:

Timber cladding can expand and contract as the weather and atmosphere changes and some faces may twist a little. The cladding and other exterior timber components will ‘weather’ to a ‘silvery-grey’ colour over time unless they are painted or stained. These are natural characteristics of timber weatherboards and are not imperfections.

Board dimensions may vary slightly due to sawmilling and workshop procedures. The colour of the new boards is likely to vary, however weathering evens out the colour over time. Variations in dimensions or colour won’t affect performance.

Timber Grade: The timber components in our timber buildings are character grade. This means that some faces may include knots, fissures, waney edge, sapwood and other natural characteristics. These do not affect the structural integrity of our buildings. Our doors and windows are machined from joinery grade timber.

Your joinery items require painting. If you have opted to paint your own doors and windows, please ensure that you paint them immediately after delivery. We offer a painting service for your doors and windows.
